I The latest intelligence from Hobart regarding the reported outbreak is to the effect I that a brilliant illumination is vi-ible from the town, but no authentic news has yet , been received regarding the disturbance. vSydnet, Saturday. The cricket match between the English team and twenty-two of the Northern districts' was concluded at Newcastle to-day, and resulted in a draw in favor of the local team. The twenty-two in their first innings ■cored 79, and the Englishmen in theirs scored 75 In their second innings the Newcastle had lost 10 wickets for 79 runs, when time was called. Adelaide, Saturday. I The accounts of the South Australian wheat crops are favorable, and it is expected ' that there will be an average yield of 7 bushels to the acre. Hobart, Monday. Hundreds of people yesterday visited the ictne of the fire which has been raging in the vicinity of Snug Kiver since the extraordinary disturbance which oocurred on Thursday last. The acconnta which come to hand are mo3t contradictory. The Mercury to day expresses the belief that tbe fire is caused by burning peat hioes.
