The Waktau leaves here for Patea direct at 3 p.m. on Saturday The Murray is due from West Coast ports to-night, and is announced to leave on the return trin at 6 p.m to-morrow. r Jhe Kenuedy arrived fit Hokitika this morning and leaves there for Greymouth and Wanganui this afternoon. The Hckitika bar is reported vorr shallow. The Charles Edward leaves Greymouth this evening, and Wesport to-morrow morning, reaching here on Friday morning. The Wallace arrived from Wangamri this morning, and left at 2 p.m. for Wellington direct. The Penguin left Lyttelton at noon to-day, \rill arrive here to-morrow afternoon, and sail by the same tide at 4 pm. for Picton, Wellington, and Lyttelton. The Hawea leaves Wellington at 1 pm. tomorrow, will arrive here on Friday morniag, and sail at s pm. for Taracaki and Manukau. The Grafton leaves Wellington at 5 p.m. fo-morrow, will arrive here on Friday morning, and sail at nooa same day for Westport and Greysioutb. The Eotoniabaaa leaves Wellicg'on for fiobarfc and Melbourne ou Monday Passengers proceed to her by the Penguin tomorrow. Farther particnlars are to band re the wreck of the Fcrnalen. She left Wellington on ADgaat 22 and arrived eff Columbia River bar st 4 a.m. on October IG. The captain was piizz'ed with the lights, and after taking beariugs of those to windward wore ship to stand off till daylight. Shortly afterwards she struck on a sandbank, and all canvas was set to force her over it, but •without avail. The crew remained by her till Tuesday, when a heavy gale having sprung up the vessel parted amidships. Great difficulty wag experic need in landing the boat, which had two holes eto»e in her bottom, and kept four men baling un'.il the shore was reached. The Fernglen was owned by Perrot and Co. of Sunderland.
