Mblbournk, Wednesday. In the Legislative Council laat night lh_ debate on Mr Ramsay's motion regarding tbe Education Commission was concluded. The division resulted in favor of the Government, the motion'being rejected by 47 to 43. The Melbourne Aye. to-day publishes a speci.l telegram from London stating jhat the Daily Aeirj of tho 7th lust, co'ntaina a leading .urticlo on the present Native eri.is in New Zsalasd, and Warmly approvaa af the vigorous action of the Government ia dealing with Te Wkiti and his followers. Arrived this afternoon, Ringarooma from the Bluff. ALB ANT, NOV. 8 Arrived thie morning— P. &O. Company's steamship R>hilla with the Eogliah mail, which left London on.tha 7th October.
