This time he drew Iroquois ! At a Borough election in Roxburgh the^ other day the large number of 15 votes was recorded, one candidate receiving 10 and the: other 5. To conclude the farce the defeated! candidate inserted an advertisement in the local paper thanking the ratepayers who; voted for him, and stating that had he known* some of his friends were pledged to the other candidate before the nomination took place he would not have put the ratepayers: to the trouble of voting.
