SAILED. Sept. IG, steamer Hawea, 461, Kennedy, for Taranaki and Manukau. Passengers: Messrs Lock (2), Young, Ingle, and 4 others. — steamer Lady Barkiy, .30, Walker, for Collingwood. Captain E-iwin reported at 2.3 p.m. :— " Bad weather approaching ; any direction between north-east and north-west. Glass will further fall." The Lady Barkly sailed for Collingwood last night. The Charles Edward arrived from West Coast ports tbis afternoon, and leaves for Wellington direct at. 2 pm. to-morrow. The Murray and Kennedy are both due at Hokitika this afternoon. The Wallace arrived at Wellington this morning and leaves on return trip to-nigbt She proceeds to Wanganui at 2 p.m. on Monday. Tbe Grafton leaves Wellington tbis afternoon, will arrive here to morrow morning, and stil for Wesiport and Greymouth at 1 p.m. on Monday. The Wakatu leaves Wanganui this afternoon, will arrive bere to morrow morning, and sail f ( . r Wellington, Wanganui, and Patea at 1 1 a.m. on Monday. The Wanak* leaves Wellington at 1 p.m. on -V.onday, will arrive here on Tuesday morning, and sail at 3 p.m. Eame day for Pic 03, Wellington, and Soutb. Tbe Lillie Denbam was to have Bailed on an excursion trip to tbe Peloros Sound thia morning, bnt in consequence of her not baviog a New Zealand certificate she was prevented by the Customs authorities from going to sea. She took a spin round tbe harbor tbia afternoon with a large party on board, when qbe gave evidence that she can travel at a good rate of ppeed. The Zealandia, with the inward 'Frisco mail, will be due at Auckland on Monday. She left San Francisco one day behind her contract time, bnt bring a fast" steamer she will probably make this up tv the voyage, so that her arrival may be looked for tomorrow night or early on Monday morning. The Hawea brings down the southern portion cf the mail, and if she gets clear of the Manukau Boads on Monday, she will proceed from Taranaki direct to Wellington.
