London, September 6. Consols bave advanced to 99_-. Adelaide wheat per 4961bs ex warehouse 465; New Zealand wheat per 4961ba tx warehouse, average qualities, 55s 6d; Adelaide flour ex warehouse 41s Cd. Australian tallow, best beef bas advanced to 37s Cd, but mutton remain at 395. At the wool sale to-day 11,800 hales were catalogued. The tone of the auction showed tbat prices have a hardening tendency. Tbe carcases of beef brought per steamship Protos are found to be in good condition, but bave not as yet been cold. The Cuzco has arrived at Plymouth. Her cargo of frozen meat, consisting of 5000 sheep, &c , is pronounced io excellent order. The Bank of Australia has declared a dividend at the rate of 6 per cent fo? the past half-year Numerous collisions have taken place at several places in Ireland during the past few days between the police and people, and much disorder still prevails io many parts of the country. September 6. It is announced that Mr J. W. Cla'tty, Q, C, has been appointed a judge of the High Court of Justice, of England. New Yobk, September 6. Further intelligence from New Mexico shows ihat General Carr and his detachment of American tro pa were not, as previously stated, massacred by tbe Indians, but were made prisoners and confined ia a fort. From thia thß general and the bulk of his officers and men subsequently effected their escape, but in thtir flight eleven of the f arty were killed by the Indians. Washington, Septsmter 6. Telegrams received to-day from Long Bra-jch report ttat since his arrival President Garfield has shown symptoms of fever and his pulse is exceedingly high. Pabis, September 6.
