Roustin, the French Resident at Tunis, has sent a despatch to his Government informing it that the Bey was acting under orders of the Sulian of Turkey in supporting and inciting the Arab tribes to rebel against the French authorities. M. Roustin is further reported to have urged th<- deposition of the Bey and the occupation of Tunis by the French as absolutely necessary in order to bring about a eettlemant of the present disorder in the country, . Later. The report published by the Morning Post to-day that Mr Roustain; the French President at Tunis, has urged his Government to depose the Bey and; occupy Tunis is now fully denied. Sir. Charles Dilke, Under Secretary for Foreign affairs, is now in Paris where he is conferring with the Minister of Commerce in regard fco the Anglo French commercial relations. Paris, September 5. A serious railway collision occurred to-day at Charenton,. about four miles from Paris, on the: Paris, Lyons, and Marseilles railway. The trains were terribly wrecked, and thirty persons were killed, and fifteen others were severely injured. Washington, September 5. President Garfield having sufficiently recovered to be moved, has been conveyed to Long Branch and arrived there to-day.
