THE ENGLISH CRICKETERS.
Mr J. Conway has received a letter i from the promoters of the visit of All-; England Eleven to Australia during 1 next season stating that the following names have been decided upon : — Ul v ett, ' Midwinter, Sbaw, Shrewsbury, Barnes, Morley, Pilling, Bates, and Lillywhite. It is intended to bring thirteen men. and the remaining four will probably; be selected from Gunn, Scotton, Flowers Selby, and Charlwood. The promoters were divided in opinion as to whether they would include Ulyett in the team i or not, but as he is at present in such ■ wonderfully good form they think that l the professional cricket of England' would not be represented without him. Lillywhite writes that it is not improbable that two first-class gentlemen cricketers will accompany the team to lend a hand in the more important Australian engagements. Mr Conway has opened negotiations with the cricketers of Queensland, and if suitable terms are offered the opening match of the tour will take place at Brisbane pa November
