Passengers : Miss Strahan, Mrs Lamont, Messrs Dixon, Petrie, Bentley, Smith (2), atid George. — steamer Hawea, 461, Kennedy, for Taranaki and Manukaa. Passengers : Mr and Mrs Hooker, Messrs Gordon, Ward, and John, Ramai, and Park (2) (Natives). 27, steamer Grafton, 156, Johnston, for Wellington and Lyttelton. — schooner Richard and Mary, 44, Hamilton, for Lyttelton via Waitapu. The Kennedy left Westport last night, and will arrive this evening; she proceeds to j Greymouth direct on Monday at noon. The Murray reached Picton this morning, and leaves there for Wellington this afternoon. The Charles Edward is due at Westport to-day, and at Hokitika to-morrow. _ The Wallace leaves Wanganui for Nelson cither to-night or to-morrow; she proceeds hence to Wellington via Picton on Monday evening at seven o'clock. The Richard and Mary sailed for Waitapu last night. She loads there with timber for tbe South. The Wanaka leaves Wellington at noon on Monday, will arrive here on Tuesday morning, and sail by the same tide at 11 am. for Picton, Wellington, Lyttelton, and Dunedin. The Grafton arrived from West Coast ports this morning, and sailed by the same tide at 9 30 a.m. for Wellington and Lyttelton. The Hawea sailed for Taranaki and Manukau at 8 o'clock last night. The Patea is expected to arrive here from Patea to-morrow. She is announced to sail for Picton vii Wellington en Monday. The ship Candidate, a vessel of between 700 and 800 tons register, was loading at London for Nelson, when the San Francisco mail left, and was to sail early in August.
