August 24, steamer Lady Barkly, SO, Walker, for Motaeka. — schooner Crcydon Lass, 51, Bamford, for Waitapu. The Charles Edward sails for West Coast ports at 11 a.m. on Friday. The Murray is due from Westport tomorrow evening. She sails for Picton and TV ellmgton with coats on Friday at 7 p.m. The Kennedy on account of a rather heavy sea is detained to-day at Hokitika, the bar being very shallow and channel intricate. The Wanaka, with the Southern portion of the English mail, left Onehunga at 9 a.m. to-day, and will arrive here to-morrow night, sailing by the same tide at 7 p-m for Picton, Wellington, and Lyttelton. The Wallace, from PictoD, was signalled when we went to press. She proceeds to Wanganni at 6 p.m. to-morrow. The Graftcn returns hero from West Coast Coast ports about Sunday, Tee Croydon Laaa has proceeded to Waitapn to load with limber for the South. The Hawea leaves Wellington at noon to-morrow, will arrive here on Friday morning, and sail by Jhe same tide at 10-30 am. for Taranaki and Mannk&u, The Arawata will be the next steamer for Melbonrne. She leaves Wellington on Monday, and psssengers for her go by the Wanaka to-morrow. The mail steamer City of New York arrived at- Auckland this morning at two o'clock. The steamer telegraphed yesterday as the mail boat turned out to be the Albion from the South.
