(Chmtehureh Press April 13.) During the past week business has been more active in the grain market, and some considerable transactions iv wheat are said to have been carried through at satisfactory rates. Prices are somewhat firmer owing to the improvement in the English and American markets. For town delivery good samples of wheat are saleable at up to 4s. Floor has also been ia improved demand, and millers report some fair orders during the week. Oats con'inue easy, but holders will sot entertain the idea of lower rates, so that no business of any moment has been carried through. Birley continues inactive, and to effect sale 3 23 to 33 has to be accepted. The potatoe market exhibits no new features, and quotations are purely nominal. Grass seed is enquired for, and commands up to 5s for good dean samples. Cocksfoot is also coming into demand at 3|l. Dairy produce is without any noticeable demand.
