Londow, August 9. Consols remain at 100} New Zealand securities; 5 percent 10-40 loan 105 ; 5 per cent 1889 loan 104 ; 41 per cent 1879-1904 loan 101$ ex dividend. Adelaide and New Zealand breadstuffs remain at the following quotations :— Adelaide wheat ex warehouse 495. Adelaide flour ex warehouse 36a ; New Zealand wheat exfship 48s 6d. Australian tallow continues at 34s 6d for best beef and 36s for beat mutton. Best Scotch pig iron No 1 f.o.b. in the Clyde is quoted at 51s. In the House of Commons to-day the report on the amendments made in the Irish Land Bill by the House of Lords was brought up for consideration and after debate the whole of the amendments which affected the principles of the measure as agreed to by the House of Commons were rejected by large majorities.
