Adelaide, Monday. The Orient s.s. Garonne, which left London on sth July, arrived here yesterday morning, Stdnet, Monday. The Premier, Sir Henry Parkes, is now much improved in health. The detached squadron, it has transpired, leaves Port Jackson for Fiji lilands on Wednesday next. A man named Harris, a small-pox patient, died in the quarantine station last night. Melbourne, Tae3day. The P. and O. Co.'s steamship Kaiser-i-Hind with the Suez mail, which left London on the Ist July, arrived here yesterday morning. Brisbane, Tuesday. In the libel action brought by Mr Cook, journalist, against the proprietors of the Evangelical Standard , in which damages were laid at £1000, a verdict has been returned for tha defendants.
