June last was concluded to-day. Both prisoners being found guilty, McGrath baa been sentenced to penal servitude for life, and McKevitt to fifteen years imprisonment. The Rev George Osborne, D.D , was elected as President. The English rifle team won the Elcho shield this year at Wimbledon* The Government are meditating conferring honors upon those who took a prominent part in the Melbourne International Exhibition. In Kentucky a fast day is proclaimed for the purpose of praying for the recovery of President Garfield. The American people have Bubs*;;^.^ £50.000 for r«cccuUiion to Mrs Garfiefd.the wife of the President. It is stated to be a manifestation of sympathy with her in, the painful condition in which she was placed by the cruel attack upoa her husband. In the Btruggle which resulted in the capture of Sfai by the French, the number killed and wounded of the Natives was much larger than at first was supposed. It is now ascertained that 400 Arabs were killed and 600 wounded. The loss of the French was small.
