HAILED. July 28, ketch Camelia, 19, Young, for Motapipi. 29, steamer Wanaka, 276, M'Gillivrsy, for Taranaki and Manukau. Passengers: Mr White. — cutter Maid of Italy, 15, Clarke, for Riwaka. The Murray leaves Picton for Greymouth direct to-day. The Charles Edward arrived from Wellington this morning, and leaves for Wanganui at 8 o'clock this evening. The Wallace was unable to leave Hokitika to-day on account of the sea being too heavy. Tbe Kennedy was unable to leave Wfstport las', night, but the weather baviDg cleared she expects to get away to-night. "The Wskatu will arrive here on Sunday snorting, and sail for Wanganui, Wellington, acd Patf a at 8 p m. on Monday. The Hawca arrived at Wellington this morning, and leaves for Lyttelton in the afternoon. She returns here on Tuesday morning, sailing by the same tide at noon for Picton, Wellington, and South. Tbe Reward leaves Timaru for Nelson to-day with a cargo of wheat for Mesari Griffin and S ns. She will be followed by the Richard and Mary. The barque signalled yesterday proved to be the Malay from Newcastle with a cargo of coal for the Anchor Steam Shipping Company, She sailed into the harbor this morning, and was berthed alongside the hulk Hera. The barqne Anatralind and brig Neptune arrived at Wellington from Newcastle yesterday afternoon. While beating up from tbe Heads they came in collision, with the revolt that the Neptune lo9t her jibboom, which disabled her. The Charles Edward w«B despatched to ber assistance at 5 o'clock and towed the brig up to the wharf at 9 o'clock. The Wanaka left Port Chalmers at 4 p m. on Monday, and reached Akaroa at 10 a.m. on Tuesday; left again at 11-40 a.m , arid arrived at Lyttelton four hours later; sailed at 10 p.m. came day, and reached Wellington at 3 10 p.to on Monday; left at 1 p.ra yesterday, called at Picton, and arrived here at 7 a.m. today. Thick foggy weather was experienced to Akaroa, and from thence fine weather with light winda and smooth eea. She sailed for Faranaki and Manukau by the same tide at 1130 a m. The Border Ctu>f, Captain Shierloh, from Melbourne, with wheat, arrived at Falraouth on the 27ih May, arid reports :— On the 24th May, in 49 deg. N., 7 d*g.-W., was struck on the port quarter by the ship Canterbury, ftem New Zealand for London, carrying away plates of bulwarks, rai's, mizzen riggiDg, and decks, and completely destroying the port side of the cabin, &c. The Canterbury was apparently but slightly damaged.
