Passsngc-rs: Meedames Way, Askew, Messrs Burrows, Gorman, and M'Lellan. 27, steamer L3dy Barkly, 30, Walker, for Motueka.
The Kennedy arrived from Wellington this morning, and leaves for West Coast ports at five p.m. The Wallace is due at Westport this evening, and at Hokitika to-morrow morning. The Murray arrived from Wellington this morning, and leaves for Picton and Greymonth at seven o'clock this evening. The Charles Edward leaves for Wellington direct at six o'clock thi3 evening, and is c-xpected back on Friday, on which day she proceeds to Wanganui. The Taisrca sailtd for Picton, Wellington, and South at 630 p.m. yesterday. She arrived at Wellington tbis morning, and sailed for Lyrtplton shortly afterwards. The Piitea arrived at Wellington from Patea yeaterdiy afternoon. The R jtorui leaves Wellington for MclDourn< via S: utb on Mondiy next. Passengers will be forwarded to her by the Hawea to-morrow. The Wanaka leaves Wellington at noon to-morrow, will arrive here on Friday morning, and sail by the same tide at II a.m. for Taranaki and Manukau. The remaining half— the stern— of the Btern-whfel steamer for the Hokitika riv«r ■was shipped on board the Kennedy this afternoon by means of the shear legs attached to tbt Riilwsy wharf. Toe Black Watch finished discharging this morning. Her cargo has turned out in bftter condition than is usually the case with chartered vessels. She will commence taking in the remainder of her ballast — 150 tons-to-morrow morning. Tho Hawea made a quick passage to Wellington, arriving there at 2 p m. yesterday. She kaves there for Nelson direct at 5 o'clock to night, will arrive here to-morrow morning, and sail by the same tide at 10 a.m. for Picton, Wellington, and Lyttelton. The hull of the Maggie Patterson, which was wrecked at Wellington Heads last week, was sold yesterday for £52. The cargo fetched £78 ss.
