The Hatvea sailed for Taracaki and Matmkau Et 5 o'clock last eight, and reached the former port at 7 a m. to-day. The Wallace, weather permitting, leaves Wanganui this evening for Nelson The Kennedy left here yesterday for Wei- j lington. ' The Charles Edward is still detained in Wellington by the southerly gale, which is unabated. The Murray is detained in Wanganui by the beavy sea on the bar, but hopes to leave for Wellington this evening. The baique Malay shoulci arrive here from Newcastle about the middle of next week. ; She has en board a cago of coal for Messrs J. H. Ccck & Co. The Grafton is one of the steamers " stuck up" at Wellington on account of the southerly gale. The Taiaroa leaves Wellington at noon on Monday, will arrive hers on Tuesday morning, and sail by the same tide at 9 30 a.m. for Picton, Wellington, Lyttelton, and Dunedin. The RMS. Australia, with the English mail dated June ICth, will be due at Auck land on Monday. She left San Francisco a day behind her contract time, but as she is a fast steamer she will, if Fhe has had fioe weather, make thia up on tbe passage. The Hawea brings down tbe Southern portion of the mail.
