[The first portion of the telegraphic repart of yesterday's Parliamentary proceedings will be found on the fourth page.] The consideration of the Licensing Bill in Committee was continued. A proposal to make the hour for ordinary closing eleven instead of ten was lost on the voices. In Clause 3*2, the strength of proof spirit in New Zealand wine was reduced from thirty to twenty per cent. Proposals on the one hand to abolish the fee for the twelve o'clock extension, and on the otber to reduce it to £2 were negatived. A proposal to strike out the additional fee for extra bars was negatived on a division of 33 to 26. Ia Clausa 63, provision was made for seven days notice of objection. In Clause, 80, sub-section 4, having reference to places of worship, schools, and hospitals, was struck out. Progress was reported and the House rose at 1255 a.m.
