PARISH MEETINGS.
Christ Chubch. The annual meeting of the parishioners of Christ Church was held la. t night, the Rev. J. Leighton in the chair. The balance-sheet waa read, showing the ordinary income for the year to have been £530, of which £270 was raised by offertories. The expenditure exceeded the actual income by £15, but there was a balance of £19 due for pew rents, which the collector stated would be got in Bhortly. It was stated that during the year the following debts had been paid off by the proceeds of public and private sales of wotk, entertainments, subscriptions, &c. :— £100 balance of amount due on the parsonage; £16, balance of amount due on ihe Wood school-room ; £50, being portion of the debt of £75 owing on the Shelbourne-street Ihool-room ; and £60, being half the amount Bg on the organ chamber in tha church. ■I total amount thus paid during the year P £226, reducing the entire amount owing rtbe parish to £85, namely, £60 on the gan chamber, and £25 on the Shelbournestreet school-room. Votes of thanks were proposed and heartily accorded to the churchwardens, organist and members of the choir, and the auditors. Dr. Sealy and Mr Dodson were re-appointed Minister's and parishioners' church wardens respectively, and the following vestrymen were elected :— Messrs Pitt, A. Moore, Blundell, H. D. Jackson. Votes of thanks were accorded to the ladies of the congregation for the help they had rendered in raising the sum of £112 towards liquidating the debt on the Institute, the Rev Y. Mitchell for hia services as choir master, and the churchwardens and vestrymea of last year. The Rar Incumbent announces his intention of introducing the Hymna! Companion into the chqrch,
