Feom the absence of any telegrams rela tive to last night's Parliament we presume that the House did not meet, but that an adjournment has taken plact in consequence of a number of the members having gone to Dunedin. Total, £3098 13s 7d. The entertainment advertised to take place ! in the Theatre Royal on Tuesday n§xt has been unavoidably postponed for a time. Tfts New Zealand Industrial Gazette, published in Wellington, has an article on Messrs W. and J. Staples' boot factory in that town, in which it speaks in high terms of the articles turned out there. The firm employs 36 hands, and has ft large aslbottnt of machinery of the itnoifc itnpr&ved kinds in constant Use.
