Tbs following is the report for the week ending Friday, the 24th instant : — The market during the past week ig without alteration, and values in nearly all classes of produce remain unaltered. Wheat — There i 3 a good itqniry for good milling samples. Tuscan continues to be most sought after, and is readily saleable at from 3s 9d to 33 lOd per bu&bel ; velvet chefF and pearl, 3s 8d to 3s 9d ; Hunler'a white, 3a 7d to 3s 8d ; seed wheats, 43 3d to 4s Gd ; seconds, 2s 6i to 2i 8d ; chick wheat, Is Gd to 2s 6cl per bushel. Oats— The demand continues good, but without any iudicatiou of an advance in price Good bright milling are saleable at from 2s to 23 3d f.o.b. , feed lines from Is 8d to 1b lOd per bushel. Barley — The improved demand is still apparent, but without a corresponding alteration in value. Prime malting will command 2s 9d to 3s 3d per bushel ; fair to medium quality, 2s 3d to 2s 6d , feed samples, Is lOd to 2s per bushel. Potatoes — A good deal of business has been transacted during the week. Last week's quotations are well sustained, viz., 30s to 33s at suburban stations. Holders appear more sanguine as to the future, and are asking considerably more than the above, without, however, leading to business. Recent advices from Australia report the crops very light; prices at Warnambool had advanced from 45s to G7s Cd per ton. Grass Seed — Little or no business is being done at present in this article of produce ; prices, however, are firm — 4s 6d to 5 s per bushel for well cleaned samples ; indifferently cleaned according to sample. Cheese and Butter — There is no alteration in values during the past week — 3d to 3^d for the former, 8d to B^d for the latter. Hay— £2 10s to £2 15s,deliTeredin Christchurch.
