Government Notification. Dividing Waimea Iliylncay District, County of Waimea, into Two Districts. (r..5.) Autiiur Goiidon, Governor. A PROCLAMATION. WHEREAS by a Proclamation under the hand of the Superintendent of tqc Province of Nelson, dated the second day of July, one thousand eight hundred and eixtyseven, and published in the Nelson Provincial Gazette of the same date, a certain district described in the- Schedule to the said Proclamation was constituted a highway district, and called the Waimea Highway District : And whereas it is expedient to revoke so much of the said Proclamation as constitutes the said Waimea Highway District, and to constitute two highway districts in lieu thereof : Now, therefore, I, Arthur Hamilton Gordon, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in me by " The Nelson Highways Act, 1872," "The Nelson Highway's Act Amendment Act, 1873," and "The Abolition of Provinces Act, 1875," do hereby revoke the above-mentioned Proclamation in so far as it relates to the Waimea Highway District, [and do hereby constitute the said district into two highway districts, to be called respectively the Richmond Highway District and the Waimea Highway District, with the boundaries specified in the Schedule hereto. SCHEDULE. Richmond Highway District. Bounded towards the North by the City of Nelson, from the ocean to the northern corner of Section 18, and thence by a right Jine produced in the same direction as the northern boundary of the said section for about two miles; towards the East by a line bearing fc>. 45° W. until it intersects the Lee River at the eastern corner of Section 25, Ilintoul Survey District ; towards the South and West by the Lee River, the Roding. River, the Wairoa River, and the Waimea River:; and again towards the North by Tasman Bay. Waimea Highway District. Bounded towards the North by the Waimea River, the Wairoa lliver, the Koding Rivei" and the Lee River, from the oceau to the eastern' boundary of Section 25, Rintoul Survey District ; towards the East by a line bearing S. 45° W. for a distance of twelve miles ; towards the South by a line drawn to the south-east angle of Section 29, .Gordoo Survey District, and along its southern antjl western boundaries ; thence towards the West by the summit of the watershed to the northern end of Sections 9 and 12, Wai-iti Hill, Gordon Survey, District; thence by a direct line to the western angle of Section 135, Pigeon Valley, Wai-iti Survey District ; thence in a direct line io the southern angle of Section 103, Wai-iti Survey District ; thence by a line. to the southern angle of Section 89, Wai-iti Survey District ; thence by the line between that section and Section 88 to and across the River Dove ; thence by the northern bank of that river to the division-line between Sectious 1 and 83 ; thence by the said Section 83 and Sections 25, 12, 18, U, and 122 to Section 1 ; thence by a line to the northern angle of Section 139, and the north-eastern boundary of Section 139, Wai-iti Survey District ; thence by Sections 109, 111, 112, 113, r«nd 151 to the southern corner of Section 152 ; thence by a line to the south-west angle of Section 161, Wai-iti Survey District ; thence by a line to the southern angle of Section 126, Rising Sun Valley, Wai-iti Sur-j vey District ; thence by a Jine to the western angle of Section 37, Wai-iti Survey District,and by the western boundary-lines of Seclions 37, 38, 39, and 36 'to the Trig. Station on Cut Hill ; thence by a line to the southern! angle of Section 192, Moutere ; thence by the said Section 192 and Section 194, Moutere, to Tasman Bay.
