Mr Whitaker stated tbat probably a Bill would be introduced to amend the Property Tax Act, remedying tho proved defects aud possibly Betting at rest the question cf the liability of persons in a position similar to Mr Tollcuiache. If there was auy chance of passing it a Fencing Bill would be introduced ; if there waß no chance, the existing Provincial Acts would be validated. The Government had received a letter from Sir J. Yogel of such a nature that it had been returned to biui. A motion for the production of the correspondence was passed. A Committee was appointed to consider tbe rabbit nuisance. The Native Land Frauds Prevention, and Native Succession Bills were read the second time.
