tiMARti, Tuesday night. There waa a fair attendance, the tot&lisator monopolizing all tbe money. Grand National Handicap Steeplechase: Clarence 1, Agent 2. Four others started. Agent came down a terrible cropper at the third fence from home stunning- his jockey, (Lunn). Sailor Boy came in second, but Hedffe, the rider of the winner, entered a protest against him on the ground of missing one fence, and it was Upheld. Hedge, after passing the winning post, went and .caught Agent and rode him in, thus securing first and second places with different horses, Lunn being unable to remount. Maiden Plate : Quomby 1, Sailor Boy 2. Agent had a walk over for the HunVClub. Stakes. • Consolation : Winfield 1, Stella 2.
