Passengers: Misses Bell, Jones (2), Mesdames Heard, Grey, Saywell, Irons, Taylor, Hounsell and child, Messrs Cook, Marks, Franzen, M'Gee, Stevens, and Master Grey. BAILED. , May 19, steamer Charles Edward, 125, Whitwell, for West Coast. Passengers: Mrs Holleston and 4 children, Mrs Marshall, Miss Dixon, Messrs Mackay and Fitzgerald. — ketch Camelia, 19, Young, for Motupipi. 20, steamer GraffoD, 156, Johnston, for "Wellington and Jjytteltou, The Wakatu sails for Wanganui, Wellington, and Patea at 8 o'clock to*nigbt. The Patea is expected to arrive here from Patea on Monday with a cargo of live stock. The Lady Barkly returned from Golden Bay last nisfht. The Wallace is due at Greymouth from Hokitika V -day. The Murray arrived from West Coast portß last night, and leaves for Wellington direct at 8 o'clock this evening. The Charles Eiward is. due at Weslport from Nelson 10-day, and should leave there for Hokitika tc-nigbt. The Grafton arrived from West Coast ports this morning, and sailed for Wellington and Lyttelton by the same tide. A barque, supposed to be«the Electra, was Been beating through the Straits yesterday afternoon against a strong S.E wind. The Taiaroa arrived at Wellington at 5 a.m. to-day, and left there for Lyttelton this afternoon. ' She returns here on Tuesday morning, sailing at, 2 p.m. the same day for Picton, Wellington* Lyttelton, and Dunedin. The local agent of the U ion Company is advertising for tenders, which are to be sent in by 5 p.m. to morrow, for supplying the Company's steamers with poultry, vegetables, etc., for 19.months .commencing Ist June.. Particulars will be found in the advertisement, which appears elsewhere. The Penguin left Port Chalmers at 3 30 p.m. on Monday, and arrived at Akaroa at 6 a.m. on Tuesday; sailed at 8 a.m. and reached Lyttejton at noon ; left at 6 30 p.m. same day, and arrived at Wellington at 9 30 a.m. on Wednesday; sailed at 1.15 p.m. yesterday, and reached Picton at 615 p.m.; left at 4 a.m. to-day, and arrived here at noon. She remains here until noon to-morrow, when she sails for-Wellington, Tnrannki, and Matmkau, carrying the outward San Francisco mail.
