Lon»on, May 10. The Orient Company's steamship Cotopaxi, which left Melbourne on the 30th March, arrived at Plymouth yesterday. Consols remain at 102 f. New Zealand five per cent 1880 loan has advanced $ per cent and is now quoted at 104 ex dividend ; four and a half per cent New Zealand 1878-1 904 loan 101 J, being an advance of i per cent ; five per cent 10-40 loan remains at 104£.
Adelaide and New Zealand breadstuffi and Australian tallow are unchanged. The May- June series of colonial wool auctiona commenced to-day. There, was a good attendance of foreign buyers. The opening catalogue comprised 42,000 bales. The bidding was animated, but crossbreda ruled one balf-penny to one penny per lb lower than the closing rates of last sales.
