City Council for the year just ended, which; have been submitted to us for Audit, as pro-, vided by the Municipal Corporations' Act, 1876;— : 1. Stabement of Assets and Liabilities of the City on 31st March, 1881. | 6. Statement of the Public Debt of the City. 7. Statements of Reserves, &c, vested in. Corporation same date. ' > We have carefully examined and compared; the above Accounts and Statements with the several Books of Accounts, Bank Pass Books,, Vouchers, and other documents of the Council, together with the list of arrears of rates unpaid on 31at March, 1881, and have much pleasure in certifying to the . correctness of' same. # , .
