INTERCOLONIAL.
Melboubnb, Wednesday. Mauritius advices to the 9th instant state that tha engagements of sugar for Dunedin amount to 525 tons, and for Lyttelton to 200 tons, and that there is a good demand. Stjdnet, Thursday. Skuthorpe's brother telegraphs to Mr Dufauv, that Mr Skuthorpe has declined to give even to him any information regarding Leichardt's relics. The brother further expresses a doubt as to the bona fides of the discovery. Later accounts confirm the previous reports of the hopeful jprospects of the goldfields at Mount Poole in the Grey Ranges on tbe western border, but at the same time it is said to be somewhat risky. The route to the ranges is short of water, and rushers to the field must have means of their own.
