AUSTRALIANS V, CHRISTCHURCH. Christchurch, Saturday night. The cricket match, Canterbury Fifteen v: Australians, was commenced at one this afternoon. Christchurch won the toss and went in first, and their innings closed for 90, the highest scores being Secretan 30 not out, Leach 18, Frith 16. The Australians have lost three wickets for 9S, Murdoch not out 43. Monday. The cricket match was continued to-day, when there was glorious weather, and a large attendance. Slight joined Murdock, and; runs come steadily till 120 appeared, when Slight got a nasty knock on the head from Frith aad had to retire. Jar vis took his place, bufc was well held by Secretan at point without scoring— 4— o—l24. Boyle followed, and Ashley went on bowling at tbe south end.
