CORRESPONDENCE.
To the Editor of the " Evening Mail." Sir— The spirit of the proverb that prevention is better thau cure seems to have been absent from the hiinda of the gentlemen constituting ' the Sports Committee when they Bold the right of games, doing it without conditions, as it was understood to exclude games of chance. Now tbe gentleman who became the first purchaser has Eub-sold various privileges to games of hazard, to the detriment of those who bought stands for such legitimate pastimes as Aunt Sally, skittles, &c. Now, if tho polico interfere with gambling on the grounds, what a delightful muddle the Committee will find themselves in.— l am, &c, Fair Play.
