EXECUTION OF TUHI. Wellington, Wednesday. Tuhi. the murderer of Misi Dobie at Opunake, was executed in Wellington Gaol at eight this morning. He walked firmly on lo the scaffold, and was accompanied by Archdeacon Stock. The drop was «ight feet, and death rras instantaneous. He continued to assert that he wai under the influence of liquor when he did the deed, otherwise the murder would never hare been committed. It ia understood that Mr William Lewis, solicitor, of Wellington, has been offered by the GoTcrtiment, and bus accepted, the appointment of Assistant Law Officer to the Crown. The ship Northumberland and her cabin passengers have been admitted to pratique. Christ-church, Wednesday. The annual six daya traiuing of the Canterbury Yeomanry Caralry commenced at Kangiora yesterday. There was a good muster.

All the works on the interior railway lines were stopped on Friday and the men were paid off. At tbe annual meeting of the Corn Exchange yesterday the accounts showed a deficiency of £95 for the year. A Bpecial meeting is to be held to consider the position and the prospects of the Exchange.
