FATAL BOAT ACCIDENT AT GISBORNE.
Gibborue, Monday. A fatal accident occurred in the harbor on Christmas eTening. A boat containing four juen working on the cbip Lochnagar about eleven o'clock put off for tho shore, but when nearing tho river bar the plug got knocked out, and the boat while filling capBi'zed. The occupants held on to the bottom of the boat until daylight, whep one was
unable to hold on any longer, and ho anccumbed from exhaustion and was drowned.
