An application waa received from Samuel Baigent for a license for 426 acres, Owen Valley, being land formerly held by him under licens.fe, less homestead, of So acres purchased; and 260 acres applied for on leatfe. ; A license was granted for three yearn at a rental of £2 per annum. A license to occupy section part B } square IS. public reserve, Maitai Valley, containing 18 acres, under section 149 of "The Land Act, 1877," was granted, to James Smith at a rental of £5 per annum, payable in advance. Resolved, That section 993, Reefton, be sold to the applicant, John Blakely, under section 11, appendix E, of "The Land Act, 1877;' at the price previously assessed. Tbe following lands were assessed for leasing under " The Land Act, 187?j appendix E:--Section IS3, square 14, at l2i per acre; section 25, square 173, at 15s per a<!re.
