Melbourne, Thursday. Arrived— ltingaroorua from the Bluff. The Australian cricketers received a most hearty welcome to-day on their return from their English tour, at the Town Ball. Mr Street, of Dunedin, on behalf of the Otago cricketers, presented Murdoch, the captain of the team, with a handsome gold bat. The Major entertains the team to-night. The Intercolonial Conference has adopted resolutions in favor of a Federal Council and legislation on the Chinese question. The Conference' has adjourned and meets in Sydney on the 13th of January, when all the Colonies will be invited to send representatives. Adelaide, Thursday . The Sorata sailed for Melbourne to-day.
