[Thursday, November 11.] Present— Commissioners Barnicoat, Bird, Kerr, and Chief Commissioner Greenfield. The minutes of the previous meeting were read and confirmed. Resolved, Thafc tbe rural sections within the undermentioned blocks be withdrawn from sale for the purpose of declaring the same open for leasing under appendix E: — Block V, Ngakawau; blocks I, 11, 111, IV, V.VII, VIII, Kawatiri; block 11, Ohika; excepting section 38, block V, Kawatiri. Resolved, That the unsold sections of Westport suburban and Waimangaroa suburban be put up for sale by public aution at the same assessment as last July sale published in the supplement to the Land Guide, also rural section 38, block V, Kawatiri. Resolved, That sections 924 and 925, Westport, be assessed for sale at £25, the value of the improvements thereon to be added, and the whole to be submitted to public auction. Timothy Huffam's application to be allowed to purchase part of his present leasehold was disallowed. W. J. Moloney's application for a license instead of lease prepared for Bection 26, block IX, Kawatere, 26 acres, was considered. License refused. The prospecting license of J. W. Tatton, G4O acres Aniseed Valley, license No. 67, was renewed for six months from Ist November instant. Several blocks of land were assessed for leasing under the Land Acts at prices ranging from 10a to 30s per acre.
