Oct. 30, steamer Grafton, 156, Johnston, from Wellington and South. Passenger: Captain Williams. — cutter Maid of Italy, 15, Clarke, from Riwaka. SAILED. Oct. 29, steamer Taiaroa, 228, Malcolm, for Taranaki and Manukau. Passengers : Miss Clifford, Messrs Coleman and Cox. 30, steamer Grafton, 156, Johnston, for West Coast. — steamer Lady Barkly, 30, Walker, for M ueka.
The Lyttelton leaveß Wellington for Blenheim ami Nelson to day. The Patea is announced to sail for Patea on Wednesday. The Murray is expected to arrive here from West Coast ports to-morrow. She leaves for Waneanui at 3 p.m. on Monday. The Charles Edward arrived at Hokitika this morning, and leaves there for Greymouth to-morrow morning. The Wakatipu leaves Sydney for Wellington to-day. The Taiaroa sailed for Taranaki and Manukan yesterday afternoon. The Hawea leaves Wellington at noon on Monday, will arrive hero on Tuesday mornIng, and sail for Picton, Wellington, aud South by the same tide at 8 30 a.m. The Albion is expected to arrive here from Melbourne via West Coast ports on Monday morning. She is annouueed to sail for Wellington, Dunedin, and Melbourne by the same tide at 8 a.m., if she has discharged her cargo by that time. Messrs Money Wigram and Co's steamer Northumberland, which was telegraphed yestorday as having left Plymouth on October 25th for Australia, comes to New Zealand under charter to the New Zealand Shipping Company, Reuter's agent having made a blunder in the uanie of the colony to which she is bound. The Grafton left Lyttelton at 5 15 p m. on Tuesday, and reached "Wellington at 10-45 a.m. ou Wednesday; sailed 540 p.m. yesterday, came under easy 6teom, and arrived here at 6 a.m. to-day. She sailed for West Coast ports this afternoon. We have received a copy of the Union Company's time table for November. From it we learn that should sufficient inducement offer the Penguin will make the usual annual excursion to the Sounds, leaving Port Chalmers on January Ist, and returning about Jannary 9th. Intending passengers must book before December 10th. The time for issuing excusion tickets to Melbourne has been extended to the 31st January, 1881. The Hero makes a circuitous trip during the month. She leaves Melbourne about the 12th, proceeds to Sydney, thence to Auckland, and from there to Hokitika, returning to Melbourne by way of Newcastle. The Albion'B name is not mentioned in the time table, and it is rumored that on her arrival at Port Chalmers she will be laid up.
