0ct.. 26, barque Malay, Holm, for Wellington. — steamer Lady Barkly, 30, Walker, for Golden Bay. The Malay sailed for Wellington last night. The Lady Barkly sailed for Golden Bay last night. The next Btcarner for Melbourne will be the Tararnn, which leaves Wellington on Monday. Passengers will he forwarded to her by the Hawea to-mnrrow. The Tnisroa leaves Wellington at noon tomorrow, will arrive here early on Friday morning, and sul at 2 p.m. same day for Tftrnnnki and Manuknu. The Gmfton is expee'rd to arrive hero from Wellington nnd South on Friday. The Murray arrived nt Westport from Nelson at 6 p.m. yesterday. The Charles Edward arrived at Wellington ton this morning, oml leaves on tbe return trip this evening:. She ia announced Io sail for West Coast ports at 6 o'clock to morrow evening. The Wannka arrived at Wellington at 8 tun to day, and was to leave there for Lyttelton at 1 p.m The Albion left Melbourne on Monday last, for Ilokitika, Greymontb, and Nelson, and is advertised to leave horn on Monday's tide for Melbourne via Wellington and Dnnedin. - . , The Hawea crossed the Manukau bar at 3-30 p m. yesterday, but did not reach New Plymouth'until noon to day, having experienced aS E. gßle during the passage. Shp leaves there Bg«in at five o'clock (his afternoon, will arrive here to-morrow morning, and sail for Picton, Wellington, and LytteltoD by the same tide at 2 p.m. It appears that we are to have another vessel direct from the old country to this port. The last Home News to hand reports the sailinsr of the barque Ana&i from Graves end for Nelson on August 28. She should arrive here at the latter end of next month The fine ship Lady Jocelyn, which has been chnrtered to proceed direct from London to Tauranga, is a full ship from stem to stern. She is expected to arrive about 17th December. The Lady Jocelyn will be followed by the Himalaya, to arrive also at Tauranga a month later. This iB the first lime a merchant ship will have come direct from Europe to Tauranpa, but during the •war Her Majesty's ships frequently vi ited the port A su r vey has recently been made and the harbor so marked out with beacons, &c., as to be quite safe for visiting vessels.
