London, October 5. Tbe banquet given in honor of the Australian cricketers was presided over by the Lord Mayor of London. The Agents-General and many leading cricketers were present. Murdoch responded to the toast of the evening, and referred to the match played on the Oval, and thanked Lord Harris for having effaced nil past grievances. Lord Harris spoke in most eulogistic terms oi ! the cricketers, and said that he considered the Australians pre-eminent at cricket. Consols, 98. Adelaide wheat ex warehouse, 495. Sir Bartle Frere, late Governor of the Cape has arrived in London. Ministers discussed the Porte's scheme regarding Dulcigno at a Cabinet meeting, but nothing has transpired as to their decision. Prince Nikeline of Montenegro is urging an immediate attack on Dulcigno if assisted by the Powers. The details of the scheme proposed by the Porte for the settlement of the Montenegrin and other question is now being published. The Sultan agrees to surrender Dulcigno on coudition that the naval display is henceforth abandoned, and he proposes afterwards to deal with the Greek and Armenian questions. It ia generally considered probable that the Powers will reject the Porte's proposals. Bkulin, Oct. 5. The German Government threatens to lay siege to Hamburg and Altona unless they at once comply with ttio new tariff. Calcutta, Oct 5. The lateßt intelligence from Afghanistan states that General Phayre with his division will winter in Candabar.
