Melbourne, Monday. Her Majesty's ships Emerald, Wolverine, Cormorant, and Nautilus have arrived here. The New Zealand exhibits at tlie Exhibition are well advanced, and Dr Hector has prepared a hand book for distribution containing concise and valuable information re* garding the products, progress and' statistics of the colony. Mata is being strongly backed for the Cup in consequence of Camballo's victory. Tuesday. Mauritius telegrams, to the 18th instant, report that the engagements for New Zealand amount to 350 tons of sugar including 260 for Ohristchurch. The British exhibitors at the Melbourne Exhibition advertise a picnic which they intend to hold on Friday next the openiDg day. They do this in consequence of tbe discouttsey which they allege is shown by the Melbourne Commission in omitting to send them cards o£ invitation to the opening ceremony. Adelaide, Tuesday. Messrs. Trinder and Anderson's steamship Clifton has arrived from Plymouth.
