The Murray sailed for West Coast ports tins afternoon. The Lyttelton is expected at Wellington from Kekerangu to-day. The Charles Edward is expected at Hokitika from Westport to-day. The Wallace reports the weather at Hokitika improving, thought not yet settled; if possible she will leave there for the Sounds to-night. The Croydon Lass sailed for Waitapu yesterday afternoon. She loads there with timber for- Lyttelton. The Wakatu will arrive here to-morrow morning, and sail for Wanganui and Wellington at 9 p.m. The Albion did not leave Hokiiika for Sydney until yesterday. The Robin Hood commenced discharging cargo alongside the Commercial Wharf this morning. The Richard and Mary left Dunedin on Saturday morning, arrived at O«maru on Sunday night, and commenced loading for this port to day with wheat for Messrß Griffin and Sou The Wanaka left Onehunga this afternoon, •will arrive here to-morrow night, and sail for Picton Wellington, and Lyttelton at 3 p.m. on Thursday. The Taiaroa left Lyttelton at 9-15 p.m. on Saturday, and arrived at Wellington at 3 30 p.m. on Sunday; sailed at 12-30 p.m. yesterday, and reached Picton at 6*30 p.m. ; left at 7-30 pm , and arrived here at 330 a.m. to day. She sailed for Picton, Wellington, and Dunedin this afternoon. The time occupied by the Rotoraabans. on her last trip from Russell to Sydney was 3 days 16£ hours, which is remarkably fast. There were four boilers working, and the distance logged each day was as follows:— Ist day (in 16} hours), 229 knots ; 2nd day out, 312 knots; 3rd day out, 327 knots ; 4th day, 300 knots.
