Captain Edwin reported at 3*34 p.m. :— " Bad weather approaching ; any direction between north and' west and south-west. Glass will rise, within .B. .hours. Likely to rain." The Lady Barkly returned from Golden Bay "last night. The Lyttelton arrived at Kekerangu this morning. -...-..-. The Charles Edward will probably leave West port for Hokitika to-night. The Wakatu will arrive here to-mornm^ morning, and sail for Wanganui and'WelUhg- . ton at 9 p.in • ' The Taiaroa left Wellington at noon today, will arrive hero early to-morrow morning, and sail for Picton, Wellington, and South at 2 ]\m.
