To the Editor oe 1 the " Evening Mail." Sir— -A letter appeared in Tuesday's issue of the Colonist signed. "Footballer." referring to the choosing of the team to represent Nelson in the coming match Nelson v. "Wellington. I should like to know where " Footballer" obtained his information, as all his statements are untrue. • In the first place he says "the committee assembled and others who were, not on the committee." This is not true. Next he says "The team was picked, mostly all those present being chosen, whilst better men were discarded." Now only two of those present, were picked, the other three being thrown- out. Perhaps "Footballer" is jealous that his name has not bee» put o» the Ijst of players, pa tirtpfr*
