SUEZ MAIL NEWS.
London, Aug. 30. ' ' The reply of the Porte to the collective note of the Great Powers on the Greek question is to the effect that Turkey objects to the cession of Jaulahnetzeroo and Larasga for strategical reasons, and on the ground of nationality. The Golos and other Russian Government organs are commenting on the attitude, also the leading French papers regarding the proposed coercve imeasures towards Turkey, and they reproduce most magnificent paragraphs from French articles to show that the French Cabinet and nation are not willing to join any real action against the Turkish Empire. The North German Gazette approves of the attitude of the French, and says France is not the only Power which deprecates the rash solution of the Eastern question, and that no reason exists why affairs should not soon take a decided turn. . ! Vesuvius is in active eruption, causing the loss of several lives in the neighborhood, and throwing down many houses. -;
