The original Galvanised Tinned Iron was first made at these works in the year 1842. This iron obtained the PRIZE MEDAL for «• excellent quality " at the Great Exibition of 1862, it being the only Prize Medal awarded in the Trade. The price is now greatly reduced. We are informed that dealers in medicine often try to Bell the eucalyptus oil found in the trade instead of our Eucalyptus Extract. So far as the committing of imposition against the public in such , a cbbc is concerned, the consequences would not be isenons ; but as the qualities of : both of the products are in .many cases directly opposed to one another, we consiQer it oar duty to direct the public attention to the following facts:: — The eucalyptus oil i 8 recorded to be oi value as a medicament in cases of rheumatism of. secondary nature, .and manifests a drawing, blistering effect upon the skin. Any blistering brought en by the application ot a medicament must increase inflammation, and it is theretore evident that in cases of wounds, colds, bronchitis, diphtheria, croup, sprains, etc.. the curative power oi ouri extract on the named diseases being unquestionably proved by former publications in this paper. An application' of the oil instead of our extract must impair the diseased* The truth of our assertion is founded upon , the fact that the oil is a resinous product equivalent to comn-on turpentine, its market value being about three shillings one pound weight $ our extract consists of the evaporating particles of , the gum leaves, eootbing .and .healing in its effects, its price being twenty-four shillings lor one pound waigbt.
