Owners of dogs may accept this as a warniug. A gentleman followed by a too faithful retriever went to Mr Buddeu's shop this morning, and haying-occasion to visit the greenhouse left his dog behind iv the shop, where it was unintentionally locked in. In les9 than a minute there was a terrific noise which was suggestive of earthquakes, the perihelion of the planets, thundefsto> ras, and all sorts of disagreeable disturbances. But it was only the dog making frantic efforts to escape through a window in v.hich were tastefully arrayed vases, ornamental flower pots, and various other articles of an equally pretty and fragile character- The animal was of course speedily released, whereat he looked delighted and wagged his tail ecstatically. But the expression that came over his master's face as he contemplated first the fragments, and afterwards the bill of costs, was not one of entirely unmixed pleasure.
