Duhedin, Tuesday. About 150 persons attended a meeting of the unemployed, when two motions were carried, one to petition the Government to stop immigration at once, and the other to " petition the United States Government to aid the working classes here in going to America. Both motions were carried unanimously, but the meeting terminated without any steps being taken to draw up a petition. Two Chinamen have been arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the Kyeburn murder. Blenheim, Tuesday. At the inquest held yesterday afternoon on the body of Thomas O 'Sullivan a verdict of " Found drowned " was returned. The ,deceased attended early mass at the Catholic Church on Sunday, and during the morning the abstinence pledge was administered to him by the priest. Auckland, Tuesday. The vessel ashore at Tutukaka is the topsail schooner Julia Price. Anchors &c. are being sent down to get her off. CnßisTcnußcn, Tuesday. A householder at Sydenbam was fined £10 for knowingly letting two houses to women of ill- fame. The City Council have at last got a credit balance at the bank. When it was announced at the meeting last night there was great applause.
