ILLNESS OF MR. GLADSTONE.
London, July 31. Arrived-- Margaret Galbraitb from Lyttelton, sailed April 9 ; Coriolanus from Lyttelton, sailed May 1 ; Commodore from Timaru, sailed April 14 ; at New York, Eleanor Vernon from Auckland, sailed April 24. August 2. The Right Hon. W. E. Gladstone is suffering from slight congestion otthe lungs with feverish symptoms. To-day being a Bank holiday all the markets are closed. Paris, August 2. The French Military which was to have proceeded to Greece to undertake the reorganisation of the Greek army, has heen abandoned.
