ARRIVED.
July 27, steamer Taiaroa, 228, Malcolm, from Picton, Wellington, and Lyttelton. — cutter Goldseeker, 12, Watts, from Havolock. SAILED. July 27, steamer Patea, 50, Gibbons, for Wellington and Patea. — steamer Wakatu, 78, Evans, for Wanganui and Wellinjjton. — steamer Taiaroa, 228, Malcolm, for Picton, Wellington, and South. Passengers: Mrs and Miss Trotter, Mrs Sigglekow, Messrs Cock, Mackay, Richardson, Restieux, Armstrong, M'Laughlin^ Trotter, Parker, Parkes, Archer, and Wylie.
Capt, Edwin reports at I*3o p.m. :— "Bad weather approaching; any direction between south-east and south and west. Glass will rise soon, but fall again within 12 hours." The Murray leaves for West Coast ports at 2 p.m. on Ttmsday. The Lyttelton is expected from Blenheim this evening, and is announced to return there at 4 p.m. to-morrow, Thei Patea sailed fqr Wellington and Patea at 6 o'clock this morning. The Lady Barkly has been detained for the San Francisco mail, and will, therefore, not leave for Golden Bay until 7 a.m. on Thursday. The Chaudiere finished ballasting this morning, and will proceed to sea in the course of two or three days. Her destination is not yet known, but ib is pretty certain to be Napier. The City of Sydney, with the inward San Francisco mail, arrived at Auckland at 10 a.ra. to-day. The Wanakn, wi'h <he Southern portion of the mail, leaves there this afternoon, will arrive here to-mono, v. night, snd sail for Picton,. Wellington, and South shortly after arrival. The Wakatu sailed for Wapganui and Wellington at 8 o'clock this morning. While in harbor her boiler was thoroughly overhauled, and was cleaned and painted all over, so that she now looks aB fresh as a . daisy. The Garonne will be the next steamer of the Orient Line for Plymouth. . She leaves Melbourne on the 10th proximo, and will be followed by the Potosi on the 24th. Tha Taiaroa arrived in harbor at 9 30 a.m. to-day. She left Lyttelton on Saturday night, and reached Wellington on Sunday afternoon ; sailed at noon yesterday, and reached Picton at 430 p.m.; left at one o'clock this morning, and arrived hero as above. The Taiaroa sailed for Picton, - Wellington, and South by the same tide at 1 p.m.
