( Brisbane, Tuesday, i A largp public meeting last night carried a resolution condemning the proposed new direct mail service between England und Queensland via Torres Straits, which the Premier bad arranged for whilst in England. The meeting also passed a voto of want of confidence in the. Ministry iv consequence of its having opposed thu motion recently carried in the Legislative Assembly for the appointment of a Committee to c nquire into the charges brought against the Premier and Colonial Secretary in Hermann's petition to the House.
