London, 9th May, 1877.; Report on a Sample* of Imperial Schiedam Schnapps received from Mr H. J. Hart. We have subjected a. sample of the abovenamed article to a very careful chemical analysis and examination. The results of tbe analysis, which are se forth in a separate report show tbat this spirit is of good strength, practically free from acidity, aud that it contains but' races of solid matter in solution, lt possesses ia delicate and agreeable aroma, and a pure ano" mild taste. Mr Habt's Schiedam Schnapps is a very superior article of its class, is weil purified; and is quite genuine. (Signed) Arthur H. Bir,— l have the honor ;to report for your information that tbe sample of Imperial Schiedam Schnapps forwarded ; by you to njie hasbeen submitted to a searching chemical analysis and critical examination, the result of which enables me to state that it is the Finest Sample of Schnapps that as yet come under my notice. It has a pure fragrant odour, and Is absolutely free from any trace of fusil or other injurious impurity, and bas evidently been distilled from superior rye grain, always used instead of malt in tbe production of tbo choicest qualities of Schnapps. It ie very smootb to the palate, and in this respect conipar< s favourably with other samples oflered for tele. It may be advised as equally^ suitable for medical or economic purposes.
